Ballpark 4 Million People a month get hired. This is a very dynamic economy. Youre not waiting for the retraining before you can fill a nursing vacancy. So if take you a look at that, i pulled up the data on it is plac displaced workers. Asking at the Interview Time and it look s back three years, so n average a year and a half, are you now. Employed, unemployed, out of the labor force. And does construction really look that different from the rest of the economy. And i could ask this question by looking at people who lost jobs in the Construction Industry and looking at people who lost jobs that were labeled in the construction and maintenance occupation. And these are whats called long tenured displaced workers. These are workers who had held their job for at least three years before losing the job. And what you can see, construction, the general economy, they look pretty much the same on this story. The idea that you have to focus on retraining, retraining is important, dont get me
Thates a thats a kind of funny sentence. For Justice Breyer, you may hear hat all the time, but not if you are sitting on the massachusetts court. I think the reaction did take me by surprise. Do you think your experience growing up at in apartheid south africa strengthen you in anyway for the kinds of courageous could positions you took on the court . No. [laughter] i mean, when you become a judge, you bring to that position your entire life history, and when you are sitting on the court, you work very hard to put aside your personal views. And so and gay marriage really was not part of my thinking in south africa. In fact, gay marriage had not been part of my thinking in the United States. So i did not make a onetoone connection. My life had been involved with issues of race discrimination, deeply involved in issues of gender discrimination to some extent, involved in issues of this ability law, but i can recall and i do not say this proudly, but looking at the extent of how much thi

Designed for specific evolutions or missions, hours being Crisis Response. I will get into the details on that in a moment. Next slide. This was

Not so much by fundraising and constructing new buildings, although she was champion at both. In her own words, i looked around for Little Things i could do, things that dont cost much money, dont take too much time that you dont have to have a faculty meeting to do. Among things that fit that bill, she discovered you can buy more students happiness per dollar by giving people free coffee than anything else. Justice, she heads the cafeteria committee, a truly disheartening assignment. Not much one can do to make it better, but she found something she could fix even on a slim budget. A frozen yogurt machine dispenses sustenance all can enjoy. I leave off with a characteristic example of her quick wit. At the hearing on her confirmation, senator Lindsey Graham asked whether she thought miranda warnings should be given to terro
