With Pyra & Mythra now available as part of the Challenger Pack 9, there are now only two characters of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 that have yet to be revealed and released. As of right now, it is unknown if there will be a Fighters Pass Vol. 3 or any other additional content for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate following the release of these last two fighters. Based on what Masahiro Sakurai has said of the subject in the past, it doesn t seem very likely at first glance.

It was only recently revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate s Challenger Pack 9 of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 is Pyra & Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This means that only Challenger Pack 10 and Challenger Pack 11 remain for the Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
Back in July 2020, Masahiro Sakurai stated in his Famitsu Column entry that the continuous DLC development for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be coming to an end after the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 is finished.
At the time, only Challenger Pack 6 Min Min from ARMS of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 had been released. Since then, Minecraft s Steve, Final Fantasy 7 s Sephiroth and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 s Pyra & Mythra have been made available as new DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
