It s food cart season, folks!
Vaccinations are rolling out, the winds are warming and, most of all, the food carts downtown are starting to come out of hibernation. Could this be nature healing? Or do Madisonians just have an insatiable hankering for top-notch bites served out of a moving vehicle? We would bet on the latter, but either way, there are stands for snacking on every cuisine imaginable right here in Madison. SAGINAW, MI Tia’s Soul is Saginaw’s newest spot for Southern fried catfish, barbecue ribs, chicken and waffles, mac and cheese and other savory soul food.
The restaurant recently opened inside SVRC Marketplace, 203 S. Washington Ave. in downtown Saginaw, and co-owners Barnes and Letia Reynolds have plans to open a second location in April inside the former Burger King on Holland Road in Buena Vista Township.
“It’s been excellent,” Barnes Reynolds said of the community’s response since the restaurant opened.
Tia’s Soul serves up “pretty much everything,” he said. The ever-changing menu includes rib tips, chicken and shrimp Alfredo, buttermilk fried chicken, fried fish, greens, candied yams, smothered pork chops, gumbo, and the list goes on. There’s a brunch menu and homemade desserts, too. Prices range from about $11 to $17.
