In yet another dispute to emerge in the Pune’s real estate sector, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Saturday arrested three developers and a senior practising lawyer in the city for cheating a Delhi-based builder to the tune of Rs 3.40 crore. When the accused were produced in court on Sunday to seek remand in police custody, a squad of lawyers claimed that the arrest of their peer is illegal. They also challenged the FIR in the case and argued that the dispute is long-pending since 2007, and civil in nature.
