Keiynan Lonsdale Will Dance His Way Into Your Heart in Step Up Spinoff

Hands down, Keiynan Lonsdale was the best part of last year’s high school dance comedy Work It, turning in a “deliciously catty” performance as the film’s chief antagonist, as I described it at the time. Although I would have probably fallen for his “overconfident bully” character regardless, I was particularly taken by the Australian performer’s skillful dancing prowess, especially during a scene where he spontaneously breaks into some rather impressive voguing. Lonsdale is a natural actor, but when he’s offered the opportunity to combine his talents with some fancy footwork, he positively lights up the screen.

The Flash s Keiynan Lonsdale joins Step Up season 3 cast

Step Up series creator Holly Sorensen previously said. It was almost impossible to consider there could be someone so graceful and loving who could both help us honour our loss, while also bringing a deep reservoir of talent to our show, in so many areas. Christina is an exceptional human and a dazzling performer and we are so happy she has joined our family. Terayle Hill has been upped to series regular for season 3 as Marquise, while the likes of Faizon Love, Jade Chynoweth, Carlito Olivero, Terrence Green, Eric Graise and Kendra Oyesanya will all be back. Step Up airs on Starz in the US.
