Experts commissioned by lawyers for the family of eight-year-old Saffie-Rose Roussos said a thoracotomy should have been undertaken at Royal Manchester Children s Hospital.
Sgt Mark Haviland helped carry Saffie-Rose Roussos from the arena because he said he knew medics were not being allowed into the arena while possible remaining threats were being investigated.
Saffie-Rose, eight, from Leyland, Lancashire, suffered massive blood loss from shrapnel wounds to her legs caused by the explosion in the City Room foyer of the venue in May 2017.

On May 22 2017, 23 people died - including the perpetrator - and hundreds were wounded in a terrorist attack at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.
