They talked with Community Members about our housing information service, Emergency Preparedness and distributed 300 first aid kits and 15 of our emergency backpacks. Several Chinese New Year events in chinatown throughout the city, chief among them was the annual Chinese New Year parade. Many thanks for representing the department. Finally, d. B. I. The declaration of a local emergency allows for much faster mobilization of city resources, accelerated emergency planning, streamlined staffing and coordination across the city. It also allows the city to be reimbursed from the state and federal governments. And it raises awareness throughout San Francisco about how everyone can prepare in the event that covid19 appears in our community. Also santa clara and san diego counties have taken the same action, similar declarations to bolster their preparedness. Before you is the departments proposed fiscal year 2021 and 2022 budget, and ill go over some of the highlights. Ill go over revenues first, and if you have any questions, and then well move on to expenditures. Well start off with the budget instructions. The Mayors Office is projecting a 400 million fund deficit, and therefore they instructed general Fund Departments
