Our next item is item 2, discussion and possible action on a proposed budget of the department of building inspection for fiscal years 2020, 2021, and 2021 2022. Good morning, taras madison. Before you is the departments proposed fiscal year 2021 and 2022 budget, and ill go over some of the highlights. Ill go over revenues first, and if you have any questions, and then well move on to expenditures. Well start off with the budget instructions. The Mayors Office is projecting a 400 million fund deficit, and therefore they instructed general Fund Departments
First up is general Public Comment. At this time, members of the public may address the commission on items of interest to the public within the subject matter jurisdiction of the commission, except the agenda items. I just want to mention that the legacy business backlog right now is five months when a business applies to be a legacy business and theyre overwhelmed over there and i think rick could use some help. So any influence you might have to move resources to the office of Small Business to help with the legacy business program, you all know how popular it is, but we try to get a new Business Online and five months is pushing it. Our work order estimates with particularly Public Utilities and public works, but also sfmta, planning and other city agencies to prepare our budget projections for next year. And well bring informational presence on the budget to our next tida Board Meeting as well before making our initial budget to the mayor office on february 21st. Well come back in april for formal adoption of the budget. And then the Mayors Office will submit the budget to the board on may 1st. For the board next year, at the main highlight here is were expecting to have the onisland meetings in march, july and november. And that also will be doing budget information presentations this year. Our annual contract renewal is in june. And then election of officers next fall. And then per our conversations at our december meeting, were incorporating quarterly Sustainability Committee meetings beginning with our first meeting on january 21st and then well have infrastructure and transportation meetings in march and kee
