Noida: Noida MLA Pankaj Singh on Saturday directed chief medical officer (CMO) Dr Deepak Ohri to convert the Bhangel community health centre (CHC) into a 75-100 bed L1 Covid facility.
The MLA said that in the future, it will be developed into a better health centre with facilities such as ventilators, operation theatres and other necessary medical equipment.
He also directed to start vaccination drive in the area. This comes after the conversion of Jewar CHC into a 100-bed Covid hospital and plans of upgrading Rabupura and Jahangirpur primary health centres (PHCs).
Meanwhile, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh inspected the Bilaspur PHC where Covid testing will begin from Monday. Scores of people, including women and children, were on Tuesday spotted leaving Noida for their hometowns on buses with many of them allegedly lamenting an uncertain future in the city amid worsening Covid-19 situation, according to eyewitnesses.
