Contrary to the claims of the Kaduna government that it demolished a hotel because of a proposed sex party that it will host, the owner of the Asher Kings and Queen building, Aisha Mercy Yakubu has said the place is a restaurant and not a hotel.
Recall that the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority, KASUPDA had demolished the facility after a flyer circulating on social media said it would host a sex party on December 27, 2020.
Reacting to the demolition of the structure through a Saturday statement, Mrs Yakubu said the place was a restaurant and not a hotel or guest house as claimed by the government.
However, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the restaurant and owner of the building located in Sabon Tasha, Kaduna, Aisha Mercy Yakubu denied knowledge of the event saying two of the people arrested and paraded by the police were her staff and not organisers of the event.
‘N32 million property lost’
Yakubu said she lost goods worth N32 million as well as cooking utensils, furniture, electric appliances, chillers, deep freezers and bemarrings out door catering utensils.
“I watched them pull down the building without allowing me remove any item before the demolition and as a result of the trauma, I lost my one-month old pregnancy,” she said, adding that: “I plan to seek legal redress for defamation of my character and the loss of my properties, in the building, plus other sundry issues as would be advised by my lawyers.”
