Ian Fisher is retiring after 52 years with Ware & Kay which has welcomed Gemma Foster, above right, and Tracie Middleton into the firm. A LAW firm with offices in York and North Yorkshire is bidding farewell to its longest-serving employee after 52 years. Ian Fisher is retiring after a distinguished career with Ware & Kay, spanning more than half a century during which he assisted many generations of families. Ian joined the firm when it was known as Newbald Kay & Sons and had its York office in Lendal in July 1969 - just days before Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, David Bowie released Space Oddity and the halfpenny ceased to be legal tender.
Tracie Middleton is the latest appointment for Pearsons & Ward, part of Ware & Kay Solicitors Ltd. In her new role Tracie will provide advice to clients on all types of residential property transactions. Originally from Cheshire Tracie moved to Yorkshire in 2001. She completed the legal practice course at the University of Law in Leeds with a Masters in 2017 and started her career with a local firm of Solicitors in York and qualified as a Solicitor in March 2021. Tracie is well known in the area as she has been a member of Ryedale District Council for the Wolds since 2019. Tracie said: “Pearsons & Ward has an enviable reputation in the residential property sector and is known in the area for the quality and personable service they provide. They have a strong client base which is expanding all the time. Combined with my previous voluntary work at Citizens Advice in Malton and my role as a District Councillor, I feel very much part of the community and I am looking forw
