The democratic governor announcing a major crackdown, hundreds of National Guard will begin Tonight Patrolling Subway platforms and checking riders bags. The show of force comes after a recent spike in crime in the underground transit, including three killings since january. Snowfall today and tomorrow making travel in the mountains nearly impossible. This is what it looks like on interstate 80 at Donner Summit. Right now completely covered in fresh snow. Chain controls in effect along interstate 80 and highway 50 caltrans. No warning people to avoid heading up until after the storm. Hundreds of officers patrolling the roads right now to help keep drivers safe. If we are not getting any calls, we are constantly driving this freeway. And when we see a person stuck, we assist them. I have had luggage packed in this patrol car and people stuffed in here. We get them off the hill. We get them to safety. The heavy snow and strong winds can cause an avalanche.
