Six Burglaries Related in Blue Earth, Nicollet Counties

Since the beginning of November, the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office investigated six burglaries and three motor vehicle thefts which were all believed to be related. Other area law enforcement agencies, including the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, also experienced similar incidents including two burglaries.
On December 28th, 39-year-old Ryan Alan Jensen of Mankato led authorities on a vehicle pursuit in North Mankato driving a stolen vehicle from Blue Earth County. Ryan Jensen was arrested, and a follow-up investigation identified 33-year-old Jason Lee Martin of North Mankato as also involved in the recent burglaries.

NORTH MANKATO â A Mankato man is facing seven charges after a chase that ended in North Mankato Wednesday morning.
A Nicollet County sheriff deputy spotted and tried to stop a Ford Mustang that had been reported stolen from Blue Earth County. Charges say the driver, later identified as Ryan Alan Jensen, 39, fled.
The deputy used the pursuit intervention technique to stop the fleeing vehicle on Howard Drive. Jensen got out and ran and was found hiding under the deck of a residence nearby, according to a court complaint.
Jensen allegedly had a pill bottle that contained a baggie of methamphetamine, a baggie of marijuana and prescription painkiller pills.
Stolen Vehicle Leads to Pursuit, Arrest in North Mankato

On Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at approximately 8:10 am, the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle outside of North Mankato that was previously reported as stolen.
The vehicle fled and a pursuit was started. Officers from the North Mankato Police Department Assisted as it reached the city limits of North Mankato.
A PIT maneuver was initiated by a Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and the pursuit was safely terminated. The driver, fled the scene on foot and was apprehended by a North Mankato Police Officer and booked into the Nicollet County Jail. Jail records indicate the suspect is 39-year-old Ryan Alan Jensen. He is also facing 5th-degree drug charges.
