(MURFREESBORO) Great news hard working crews made quick repairs on the winter damage reported earlier at the downtown Linebaugh Public Library.
After a full day of repairing the downtown library on Tuesday, Mindy Barrett told WGNS, "Linebaugh will be reopening Wednesday (1/24/2024) morning at 9:00AM."

(MURFREESBORO) While the artic blast was wreaking havoc on roads, schools, offices it was quietly creating damage inside the LINEBAUGH PURLIC LIBRARY. The facility was closed due to the icy weather, so there was no staff to see the damage being done when the pipes froze. Linebaugh is the downtown Murfreesboro branch of the Rutherford County Public Library System. It is located next to the Murfreesboro City Hall at 105 W. Vine Street.

(MURFREESBORO) If you're age 18 or younger and have a library card for any of the Rutherford County Public Library locations, there will be some changes that take effect on Dec. 18, 2023. It only impacts juvenile card holders.
Rutherford County Library System's Director Rita Shacklett said, "This change is in response and in effort to comply with state and local ordinances."
Shacklett went on to explain that parents and guardians have the final word on what their child can read .
