by mid-afternoon and beyond today, all bets are off from a dry weather perspective. it is a mild start. and it s going to be a warm day. before the rain drops arrive, temperatures will soar into the mid and upper 70s later on this afternoon. cold air still about 24 hours away. today will start mild for sure. 60 in downtown washington. 50 in cumberland. 56 in fredricksburg. nothing showing up on radar in our immediate vicinity. however, comma, there are storms near pittsburgh, pa, and kentucky. that is all part of a weather front coming our way. there s a whole lot through the atmosphere. the first to deal with is the cold front. brings in the rain chances. can t even rule out chances for rumbles of thunder into this evening. but a warm day today. showers and thunderstorms likely after 2:00, 3:00 this afternoon. tomorrow is the book reading, stay in the house type of a day. it s going to be cold. it s going to be windy. it s going to be wet. pretty much all day on your sunday.
