Clarice, the CBS drama starring Rebecca Breeds as FBI Agent Clarice Starling, just featured a major
Silence of the Lambs reunion for two pivotal characters. In episode six, “How Does It Feel to Be So Beautiful,” Starling is forced to come face to face with Buffalo Bill survivor Catherine Martin (Marnee Carpenter) during an intense dinner between the two women and Catherine’s mother, US Attorney General Ruth Martin (Jayne Atkinson), as they confront memories about what happened one year prior. Speaking with ET, Carpenter opened up about Catherine’s big episode and finally getting to share scenes with Breeds.

The Investigation is never mentioned by name. Over six episodes, Tobias Lindholm’s Danish crime drama which concluded its stateside run on HBO earlier this week refers only to “the accused.” We never see him interrogated by Jens Moller (Soren Malling), the Copenhagen homicide lead who serves as the show’s protagonist, or any of his deputies. We certainly don’t see him take the stand to face off in court against prosecutor Jakob Buch-Jepsen (Pilou Asbaek), whom Jens assists in putting together an ironclad case. As in
The Undoing, another recent HBO series, the object of scrutiny turns out to be the culprit; unlike
The Silence of the Lambs.
A movie that won the hearts of (or scared the pants off) critics and viewers alike, solidifying its cinematic legacy thanks to memorable characters, slick writing, and the fact that to this day it remains one of the few movies, and the only horror movie, to win the Big Five at the Oscars.
It scooped up Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay at the Oscars in 1992.
The film told the story of Clarice Starling, an FBI agent who is forced to seek out and then work with Hannibal Lecter, a psychopathic serial killer and former psychiatrist. All so she can apprehend another serial killer who has been torturing and killing his female victims.
