Thursday will be the warmest, most comfortable day of the week, with high temperatures hitting 70 degrees inland. Then, we turn toward the Friday-to-Saturday storm. Expect periods of light rain, with heavy winds to follow.
The comfortable-for-mid-October weather will continue into Tuesday and for the workweek as a whole. However, coastal flooding will remain for one more day Tuesday. Looking at the weekend, another rainmaker will be on the way for part of it.
A few hours worth of rain will pass Saturday, which threatens to cancel outdoor plans. Once that leaves, it gets windy and much cooler so that by the time we wake up Sunday morning, the summery humidity will be a distant memory.
Goodbye, summery October weather; hello, crisp, autumnal air. Temperatures in the low 60s will be ours by Sunday. To get there, we ll have drizzle Friday and a few hours of rain Saturday that will impact some weekend plans.
