initially said they had been working to get them taken off of twitter, but they were they did not manage that. and there was a lot of consternation at the defense department yesterday because the people i talked to don t know how these documents ended up, who posted them and how they ended up getting posted on either of those social media websites the documents appear to have been altered in some way because they have casualty figures on them that are way lower, particularly in the russian side, than what the american military estimates have been, the casualties in the ukrainian war. but beyond that, they appear to be legitimate documents and one reason you can know is that the pentagon was trying very hard to stop this.
