Since i last saw you, that hazmat crew has arrived and they have unloaded many of the chemicals from the back of that pickup truck into their own vehicle. This is just the first step in getting the exit ramp from northbound 880 on to mission boulevard back open for this morning commute. Its obviously a very important road for people heading to work this morning. This all happened just before 1 00 this morning. The f150 pickup truck crashed into the sand barrels, separating the exit ramp with 880. Pool chemicals ended up spilling out, including what they think could be sulfuric acid. Biggest concern is they could mix and that would be bad for everyone out here. Now they dont believe any spilled into the drain or waterways. The driver was not hurt but he was arrested on suspicion of dui. Once they get these pool chemicals cleaned up out of that truck and away from the scene, then theyll have to call in the tow truck, get that truck towed away, and then hopefully people will be able to us

Theres a trough of low pressure here. This is the system that is going to bring in more moderate pockets of rain, on our storm impact scale, its a light system, tonight through tomorrow. Potential for more flooding as rainfalls on saturated grounds. Cresting at 37. 6 feet. Low flood stage by tomorrow afternoon. We have Flood Warnings until tomorrow afternoon. And parts of the south bay under the Flood Warning until tomorrow morning, and tomorrow afternoon. Have saved two dozen people in the south bay because of flooding. Katie, what happened . The creek looks calm tonight, dont let the surface fool you. The water is dangerous. Firefighter have been working overtime to rescue people this week in fast rising floodwaters. Surrounded by a flooded coyote creek and stranded for two days. Firefighters are happy to deploy their rescue team to help this man. Its not just water, theres debris all over the place floating in the water. You cant just swim across the stream and get out. The waterways are dangerous. Three inches of water moving ten miles an hour. Its a lot of force. The 56yearold yelled for help. He was stuck near ranch drive in milpedes. His body temperature is probably low. We dont know that yet. He will probably be taken to a local hospital. Hes not the only one who underestimated the storm runoff.
