AMARAVATI:  The State Government has decided to celebrate the International Women’s Day on a grand note and has taken key decisions for the safety, welfare and empowerment of women. During the review meeting held at camp office here on Thursday, it is decided that on the eve of International Women’s Day, the State Government will organize a candle rally across the state on March 7 and felicitate two women constables from each wing. The State government also decided to announce a special day off for all women working in the police department marking international women’s day on March 8. The State Government will set up 2000 stands with QR code for easy download of Disha app.

AP Govt School Pre-primary Books Distribution To Start From March 20 Mar 05, 2021, 11:20 IST AMARAVATI: Conducting a review meeting on YSR Pre Primary Schools on THursday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister  YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inspected the books and teaching aids designed for pre-primary children, which were displayed by the officials of Women and Child Welfare department. The Chief Minister also reviewed on the progress of Nadu Nedu works in Anganwadis. Construction of New buildings and revamping of existing buildings is being done in 44,119 Anganwadi centers. There are 55,607 Anganwadi centers in the state of which Nadu Nedu works in 44,119 centers  are running under Women and Child welfare department and Nadu Nedu works in remaining schools are under school education department.He said he said the work on Anganwadi buildings should be started simultaneously in urban and rural areas.

According to the officials, the election was held for 2,743 sarpanch posts and 22,421 ward member posts in the fourth phase. In all 4 phases, elections were notified for 13,097 sarpanch posts and 2,197 of them become unanimous, no nominations for 10 posts, and elections were held for 10,890 sarpanch posts, an official statement of State Election Commission (SEC) said.

According to the officials, the election was held for 2,743 sarpanch posts and 22,421 ward member posts in the fourth phase. In all 4 phases, elections were notified for 13,097 sarpanch posts and 2,197 of them become unanimous, no nominations for 10 posts, and elections were held for 10,890 sarpanch posts, an official statement of State Election Commission (SEC) said. Further, elections were notified for 13,1,023 ward member posts and 47,459 of them became unanimous, no nominations for 670 posts, and elections were held for 82,894 ward member posts.
