International Women's Day 2021: AP Govt Announces Special Holiday For Female Police Personnel

International Women's Day celebrations to be held on grand note.
AMARAVATI:  The State Government has decided to celebrate the International Women’s Day on a grand note and has taken key decisions for the safety, welfare and empowerment of women.
During the review meeting held at camp office here on Thursday, it is decided that on the eve of International Women’s Day, the State Government will organize a candle rally across the state on March 7 and felicitate two women constables from each wing.
The State government also decided to announce a special day off for all women working in the police department marking international women’s day on March 8. The State Government will set up 2000 stands with QR code for easy download of Disha app.
