LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A settlement was reached in a lawsuit brought by a couple who sued A Place for Rover Inc. after one of their Pomeranians died in 2018 while in the care of a Canyon Country woman working for the online pet-sitting service.
A Place for Rover attorney Cameron Michael Miller told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rupert A. Byrdsong on Tuesday that the case was resolved and that the parties were ending arbitration proceedings. No terms were divulged.
In May 2019, Byrdsong found that plaintiffs Lauren Astore and her boyfriend, Jason Richardson, agreed to arbitrate disputes when they signed their contract with the company. He put the lawsuit on hold pending the outcome of the arbitration.
