Archer Diya Siddique has no regrets on missing out from earning Bangladesh it’s first gold medal in the Archery World Cup as she has now set her sights on qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics.
Diya made history when she along with Ruman Shana reached the final of the recurve mixed team event of the Archery World Cup Stage-two in Lausanne, Switzerland in May.
Diya, who made her first appearance in a World Cup, and Shana became the first archers from Bangladesh to reach the final in the competition on May 21 when they beat Canada’s pair Stephanie Barrett and Brian Maxwell, 5-3, in the semi-finals.
