New Delhi: Farmer groups will hold discussions on Tuesday morning to decide their course of action after the Centre’s latest letter asking them to decide on date of talks. Some of the farmers’ representatives told ET that the new letter had “nothing new” and the government had only expressed willingness to “resolve farmer concerns” about the new laws.

New Delhi: Farmers protesting against the new farm laws at Ghazipur, Singhu borders, and in Punjab, Haryana and other places and cities of India have started their day-long hunger strike on Monday.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader said: The day-long hunger strike started at 8 a.m. will end at 5 p.m. This is today s strategy and if the government still does not agree to our demands, we will decide a new strategy for tomorrow. The leaders on hunger strike will address a press conference in the evening.
Begin hunger strike from wherever you are, farmers leaders told

New Delhi, Dec 13 (IANS): After Bharat Bandh called earlier this month, the protesting farmers on Sunday declared a wider day-long movement, urging its leaders to undertake a hunger strike from wherever they are protesting.
The announcement comes after a meeting of farmers here at Singhu border gave their nod to the decision taken by farmer representatives of 32 different unions on Saturday for holding the hunger strike on December 14 (Monday) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Earlier, it was decided that the farmer leaders will hold the hunger strike only on Singhu border at Delhi-Chandigarh route one of the major protest site where thousands of farmers have been camping under open skies from November 26 seeking rollback of three farm laws enacted by the government in September during Monsoon Session of Parliament.
