Rudi Peeters (60), from Hasselt, taught Belgians Tnternet banking at KBC, surprisingly became CEO at brickyard Vandersanden and now, as a director at Colruyt, is concerned with our stomach contents. Driven by eternal curiosity, with Pippi Longstocking as his inspiration.
The Climate Award issued by the Belgian newspaper, Het Belang van Limburg, goes this year to the Limburg-based brick manufacturer Vandersanden. Receiving this accolade is a well-deserved reward for the family-run business and recognises its efforts spanning a period of over 15 years in the area of sustainability.?
The decision has been made. The family business Nelissen Steenfabrieken may pin on the title of ‘Limburg Entrepreneur of the Year’. The brickmaker from Kesselt (Lanaken) made it to the finals against Tribù and Umami Group.
