you how ab-5 will impact the trucking industry. today the drivers showed up to demonstrate how it might affect consumers as well. it was not business as usual at the port of oakland this morning. the independent truck drivers who make up 90% of the operation are on strike over ab 5. the new law requires trucking companies make their drivers employees shutting out the independent operators who own their own rigs. protesters blocked other trucks from entering the port as a way to get lawmakers attention. if the port got affected, the government will listen and they will have to. that s what we re actually doing. we ll continue until we get it. reporter: trucks lined up down the streets as police made a deal with the protesters to allow ten trucks in every 30 minutes. right now in good faith, i need everyone to separate, make a path and let five in. reporter: currently trucking companies deal with permits and insurance needed to work in the port and the independent driv

noelle bellow, our top story this afternoon. another disturbance at san francisco international airport. this time a man was stabbed in the baggage claim area early this morning. one person has been detained. kron 4 sarah stinson was there. she has details on what happened. a man in his 40 s has been arrested for stabbing another man right here in the terminal. 3 baggage claim. now the scene has been cleared. it is back to normal with people flying out the starbucks opened. they can still see where that scene was. they had to clean it up and sanitize it. the man stabbed has been taken to the hospital with stab wounds and is expected to be okay. video shows care. so for all wrapped up in crime tape, san francisco police say the call came in just before 5 this morning. officers found a man with stab wounds in baggage claim and helped him until paramedics took him to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. officers quickly located a man nearby detained and questioned

disease disease like covid, or we d be in another scary scenario that we saw in the early covid days. fortunately, as yet it is not as of friday. just 1469 monkeypox cases nationwide. san francisco , it s foundation held an appointment only monkeypox clinic to administer 500 vaccinations to community members in its san francisco s castro district health center. with vaccine supplies still way behind demand. people were chosen from a waiting list of some 3400 people wanting the shot, many at high risk over pride weekend. a lot of folks in the community has started to become symptomatic, meaning they re showing some symptoms of monkeypox. they re concerned and they re going into a clinic to get screened. monkey pox is transmitted by infected bodily fluids by small droplets by contaminated objects and possibly airborne. the vaccine is 85% effective in preventing infection. and in lessening the severity of the disease. but only if there s enough of it, and it doesn t have a lot o
