A Philadelphia Police officer comes face to face with death surviving a deadly confrontation during a Home Invasion in the northeast. All right Dave Schratwieser is live at Police Headquarters and, dave, that officer is considered a hero tonight. Reporter no doubt about it. This was close call. The suspect in this Home Invasion actually put the gun up to an officers head. Officer managed to swipe it aw away. Shots were fired. And the officer killed the suspect. Heroic. We talk to the shopkeeper who captured this incredible surveillance video. At first the scene looks like normal traffic. Red jeep loredo comes to a stop at a red light along the 300 block of north 23rd street wednesday. Green forward for taurus pulls up behind it but within seconds, gunshots shatter the afternoon calm. Watch as the passenger of the ford jumps out and police say fires at least three times at the jeep with a 40 caliber semiautomatic handgun outfitted with an extended magazine.
