The statistics, given exclusively to the bbc, reveal that more than 33,000 gave up jobs with the service, thats 3000 more than signed up. The Royal College of nursing says more must be done to support younger nurses at the start of their careers. Heres our Health Correspondent, dominic hughes. She became a nurse to help people, excited at the prospect of making a difference but in the end, the job overwhelmed mary trevelyan.
