The brew trail organized by Visit Canton the Stark County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, begins March 15 and ends Nov. 7. It includes 15 stops at craft breweries, restaurants and a distillery. We re just really hopeful that with such a long duration and so many great local partners, especially ones that maybe people aren t quite as familiar with yet, that we will get a great showing, said Tonja Marshall, Visit Canton s executive vice president of marketing and communications.
Participants who check-in with the digital passport, available at www.HOFHops.com, will be entered to win prizes, such as Pro Football Hall of Fame museum passes and a gift certificate for an overnight stay at the Sandy Springs Brewers Quarters.
Fundraiser for Plain Township Road Department mechanic March 20

PLAIN TWP. A fundraiser will be March 20 to celebrate the life of Logan Bland, a longtime mechanic in the Plain Township Road Department, according to a news release.
Bland fought peritoneal cancer until he died Feb. 22. He leaves his wife of 20 years, Stacy, and three young sons, Evan, Cole and Zachary.
The Plain Township Road Union Local 561, Plain Firefighters Local 2967 and Plain Township Administrative Offices have organized a “Pub Crawl” at Oakwood Square, 2610 Easton St. NE, to help raise money and provide financial support to Bland s family.
This event will be from 3 to 7 p.m. with the following lineup for the bar crawl:
