State Patrol: Watch for motorcycles, motorists urged to ‘look twice’ By FOX6 News Digital Team Published  article MADISON, Wis. - May is national Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and the Wisconsin State Patrol is asking motorcyclists and all other motorists to share the road, be alert and safe. A news release says 2020 preliminary data for Wisconsin shows there were 2,095 motorcycle crashes, 1,788 motorcyclists injured, and 112 motorcycle fatalities. Drivers must be in the habit of looking for motorcyclists, Wisconsin State Patrol Captain Anne Maxson said, and motorcyclists should watch for other vehicles and get properly trained and licensed. Together we can save lives.

Burlington crash kills Milwaukee man, truck slams into wooded area By FOX6 News Digital Team Published  BURLINGTON, Wis. - A 66-year-old Milwaukee man died Monday morning, May 3 following a traffic accident in the Town of Burlington. It happened on 312th Avenue near 7th Street.  Kenosha County deputies and Fire/Rescue personnel from the Town of Burlington responded to the scene around 3 a.m.  Initial reports indicated that a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup truck was southbound on 312th Avenue and failed to negotiate the curve as it approached 7th Street (CTH BB).  According to the deputies on scene, the Dodge pickup truck left the roadway and crashed into a wooded area along the west side of 312th Avenue just south of 7th Street.  The Dodge pickup truck had extensive damage to the roof and driver side of the vehicle.

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - The investigation into the double homicide that occurred at Roundy s Distribution Center on March 16 has concluded, the sheriff announced Monday, May 3, with no motive determined.  The shootings happened overnight in different locations inside the Roundy’s distribution center in Oconomowoc, about 30 miles west of Milwaukee. Law enforcement was called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16 for an industrial accident. They quickly realized it was something worse.
