Library takes step towards normalcy, discusses improvements
CHILLICOTHE - The Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library made a step toward pre-covid normalcy Wednesday as the library board voted to reduce the number of restrictions, effective June 7.
The main branch of the library has been open since March 1, and other branches since Jan. 11, but with limited hours and capacity.
The new summer hours will take the library back close to pre-pandemic hours, and also reduce limitations on capacity. Starting on June 7, we re not going to limit so much the number of people coming in as much as ask people to limit their time to no more than two hours at a time in the library, just so we can keep people coming through, said Library Director James Hill.
