Rosemary Glesener, director of the Bird Island Cultural Centre, will lead two youth art programs in January and February, with a goal to introduce students to art fundamentals.
For the last six years, the Cultural Centre in Bird Island has provided space for the arts and community organizations. It is the dream child of Bird Island residents and business people Rosemary and Mark Glesener.

McKenna Lilja, formerly of Olivia, will be the featured artist at the Bird Island Cultural Centre in August. She will be exhibiting many pieces of ceramics, painting and drawings as she looks toward the start of new career as an art teacher in Fargo, North Dakota.
