She was just one of dozens of family members, county officials and faith leaders who gathered in front of the Flagler County Government Services building Monday afternoon, to remember and honor the lives that have been lost to COVID-19.
“It meant a lot to our commissioners; they were very passionate about COVID-19 and trying to get this county vaccinated to keep everyone safe,” said Lacy Martin, marketing media manager for Flagler County. “Everybody really just wanted to honor those victims that were lost.”
Flagler County Chairman Donald O’Brien led the outdoor ceremony where eight different faith leaders from across the county spoke and led the attendees in prayer.
