I think there are moments in history when it is up and down. Need to reconfigure because the vast globalization of communications and travel that we are now living through. Travel, alld black i know from tate and there are people doing much broader , doing very important work on the role of travel in the lives of black people who are going as tourists, which becomes much more possible in this period and the way which travel themes really essential to way africanamericans think about themselves and their relationship to the world. A tremendous amount of work needed to be done on that. Greatk there has been a deal of attention to music and other forms that have traveled certainly down more on the electronic age. There are very few people and very few books written by people that had real actual close personal exposure to the president. Jim rosebush has written one of those books. One of the few that could say he was there to observe the president personally. I thought my strongest insights came from mrs. Reagan. She taught me a lot about how to deal with president reagan and how to communicate with him and help him to be a better communicator and help me be a better bern to work with him. So when he worked with her, i think it was better to help with president reagan. He assisted in negotiating trips with china, japan, korea, france, england and germany. He was very privileged to be in at the very historic bilateral meeting between reagan and gorbachev. He is very insightful in his communicating skills.
