Pittsburgh police are still looking for the gunman and now Police Officers plan to ask the city for money. The city already has would you 120 videos set up across town. Reporter from one meeting in antioak. She found it troubling wednesday morning to learn that traffic quagmire was the result of another highway shooting. This time deadly claiming the life of 25yearold shaneek marie of San Francisco. And this really is a serious issue. Since november there have been more than 18 shootings on highway 4 and other freeways in at meat to an and contra costa counties. Peepo has been on the board of supervisors for seven years. She is in favor of looking into the possibility of cameras being added along troubled areaed of highway 4 and interstate 80 where many of these shootings are happening. We might have helped address the situation yesterday and this trend. It does seem to be an alarming trend. Possibly the folks involved know there are no visual or Surveillance Systems occurring and thats giving them a little bit of extra space and we need to stop that. Were told that one person has died and another was injured in a garage fire which started in a car. This is new video of whats left of the home. It started just before 9 00 last night. In the garage. Fire crews managed to control the fire quickly. Crews found one victim inside the garage rushed that person to the hospital. By 9 30 fire crews found another victim. The second person died at the hospital. The victims have not yet been identifieded. Crews are still trying to figure out what caused that fire in the first place. Lets head to the south bay now. The suspect has been identified as 43yearold Andre Redmond of San Francisco. Officers were call today a home in the red wood estates on reports of a shooting wednesday morning and when Police Tracked down the suspect on highway 17 he crashed his car killing the passenger. Deputies also found one man shot to death and two others injured. In addition to murder redmond is also charged with false imprisonment, kidnapping and the commission of robbery, and burglary. A 2500 reward being offered for help finding a man wanting for shooting a pregnant woman in pacifica. Police say witnesses heard collinders arguing with the victim and screams were heard. The victim who was eight months pregnant and taken to the hospital is expected to be okay. Since the shooting coloninger has not been seen. Big break in a cold case file may finally lead to some answers for a local familiment its been ten years since jack dupay went missing. And now the mysterys unfolding. Reporter his son is jack dupay. The last time he saw him was may of 2006. For ten years the belmont father did what parents of missing children do put up fliers, talk to police, search for answers. Reporter a fresno detective stumbled across this cold case. A body found burned in an orchard off interstate 5 in 2006. A john doe. There was no dna match at the time but detectives thought why not try again. It turns out the dupay family added jacks dna to the system well after the initial check. So ten years later another check led to a match. It all came raining down. Very difficult. Chilly in the east bay shoreline and particularly tomorrow morning thats when probably were going to kind of reach the chilliest part of this going on here. You cant rule out maybe a little bit of annoying drizzle in our travels particularly along the peninsula, the coast anywhere and downtown San Francisco. Our numbers pretty much are middle to upper 50s right now. San jose 58 and the far east bay pleasanton 54. The warm up in san jose only up to 70 or so matching that by 4 00. Got a west wind at 510 miles per hour. Temperature wise only getting to around the lower 70s. As promised the on shore flow is in place coming from the pacific. And quite a bit of clouds to negotiate for. We probably wont see as much and quick as clearing at the coast and along the peninsula as we saw from yesterday and thats going to be a lot of the case too for tomorrow. A lot of cloud cover well have to deal with. Heres how it shakes down in terms of the fog tracker. We go out to about 11 00 on tomorrow and or tonight rather. Then tomorrow morning you could see a lot of low line moisture in terms of fog yet again and there will be cloud cover associated with that tomorrow morning that will be very persistent through much of the middle part of the day. 8 00 a. No major heading to the peninsula. Tracking arrive to Richmond Santa fe bridge. Nows a good time to use it within the next hour or so. So if you leave right now you can beat the north rush. Lets check some travel times. Theyre looking good all around from the east bay. The east shore freeway. Westbound 80. Just 15 minutes to highway 4. No major problems head noog the oakland maze. South 680 looks good for now from the dublin interchange through 84 and on to Mission South and fremont thats just under 20 minutes and im also tracking a ride from bellton bridge. No major trouble spots. The San Mateo Police Department Says it is aware of complaints about a Police Officer that were made back in october of last year. Reporter the San Mateo Police department became aware of these allegations back in october of last year and the officer was placed on administrative leave. At this point they tell us he no longer works for the Police Department. The officers name is Noah Winchester and a District Attorney says he has not yet decided whether to bring charges in this case. Until then he will not elaborate on the nature of the allegations only to say the officer is accused of misconduct toward women while in uniform and while on duty. Then we will go into far more detail if i make the decision that prosecution is an option. Reporter the smpd is horrified at the nature of these criminal allegations. The we want to reassure the public that this in no way reflects the core values of this department, it members, or the police profession. The d. A. The San Francisco hunger strikers known as the frisco 5 held a press conference outside of the fisco police station. Theyve ended their fast. Theyre also planning a Community Meeting this weekend to drum up support. And thats not all. They have mayor ed lee in their sights as well saying he needs to stop standing behind the chief. We still have our demands and things are growing. Now as you guys can see and we plan on escalating it even further until our demands are met and were heard by the city officials. Four members of the San Francisco board of supervisors now jumping on the band wagon also calling for the chief to stand down. Still that doesnt seem to satisfy the frisco 5 and their followers who want a clean slate. Bart has announced plans to install certain bumpers on tracks that are known to be awfully noisy. Jeff bush has the story. Reporter the noise on board a bart train is noisy. The Transit Agency does what it can to reduce it will special grinding machines and sometimes maintenance has to be delayed because of equipment break downs. But a new approach is being applied to some of the noisiest part of the line. The bart engineers came up with a plan to reduce the noise by putting special bumpers that fit tightly along the tracks which reduces the vibration. The bumpers have been installed along many of the east bay tracks and soon two more sections of track will be outseted with the bumpers. On the south side of the station. The other tracks are over by the west oakland station. As you can imagine passengers are happy to hear the news. Just lots of screaming and screeching is the best way i can describe it. And up to the north bay particularly along the coast. Whats driving this again will be more in the way of thicker cloud cover. This business will mix out a little bit. But over my shoulder you can see the intrusion of our next system here with some scattered rain showers. Parts of the peninsula and down to the south bay. We do finally open up the skies a little bit late in the day and into sunday which will be a little bit of a sunnier day. The temperatures for the coast here san bruno 60 3. The south bay even here the numbers are reduced. Mid 70s will be about the best effort. There it is on the sevenday forecast. Chilly on saturday. Recovery gradually early into next week. The ride into San Francisco on westbound 80 is still nice and smooth. Approaching the bay bridge plaza a live look here heading into strand. No problems at all. Its going to be easy. The skyway. The central freeway all looking good for now. Over to the Golden Gate Bridge tracking your ride on 101 heading into and out of San Francisco its looking good. That truck is switching around the lane configuration from 3 and 3 to 4 and 2. Thats to accommodate during the rush hour commute coming to the north bay. The commute will be on the left heading southbound into San Francisco and right now its looking pretty good. Cht it will be about just under 20 minutes to get from the 101 37 split to the bridge. Lets check your commute through the east bay. There was a minor incident on 680 south right at interchange. Its gone. You can see it showing nothing but green. So if you have to use 580 west its smooth through livermore. Its also a good ride for south 680. No problems right now heading into the north bay. So far bart is rolling on time. Back to the news now. Oakland Police Department has little to say about the sex scandal that we first told you about on monday. In connection with the allegations involving sex with a minor. Kron4 was the first to report on the scandal and the possible fall out. Reporter major allegations by Sexual Misconduct by two officers. Our sources tell us multiple officers are alleged to have used facebook to hook up for sex with an under aged girl dating back to october of 2015. For the past six months sean wents has been silent on the issue. Do i want the chief to come out to the public and speak directly about this issue. We can share with you that chief went takes this allegation very clearly. He has made it clear to the employees that work here at the oakland Police Department that any misconduct on duty or off duty will be swiftly and fairly dealt with. When i saw the news alert i was very shocked. Reporter i caught up with retired police chief howard and asked what advice he has for his former colleagues. Probably the best advice would be to communicate with your officers, the process. Communicate with the citizens reassure them that the publics demanded for accountability. Federal officials are joining to search for ,26 man accused of shooting his pregnant exgirlfriend in pacifica. Ricardo calandras is now on the most wanted list of criminals in Northern California. The shooting happened on april 27. Witnesses heard calandras arguing with the victim just before a gunshot and screams were heard. The victim who was eight months pregnant at the time was shot in the head but is expected to be okay. Calendar has not been seen since that shooting.
