Consider borrowing 40Million Dollars to build a middle school and gymnasium for students in the northwestern part of the county. Jean, School Leaders have been talking about this project for a long time and tonight theyre hoping they need to move forward. Supervisors will consider a resolution on construction of a school and a competition gym for 40million of that amount would be borrowed. The board cast a similar vote last june, limiting the project to 38million. Since then three new members have been elected. Some members of the school board have said the project cant be done for 38million and tonight theyll get support from parents like john messier, who plans to speak at the meeting in favor of the larger amount. As an investigation continues, students at Hargrave Military Academy are back to their normal schedule. After an threatening message was recieved over social media last week with possible ties to isis, the campus shut down for the weekend. Brie how much money are we talking about here . Close to 22 thousand dollars. Thats how much the county could have paid Erica Williams. But tonight they voted 4 to 3 to eliminate that pay. During a work session this evening, board chair chris tuck presented information about Erica Williams attendance and past evaluations of her former employees. There have been a lot of questions surrounding her decision to not rehire 4 people after she was reelected. Since then there have been a lit of back and forth between county leaders. Tonight, they voted to eliminate her supplemental pay from the county. That money would have been in addition to the roughly 120,000 she recieves from the state. Some residents spoke in support of williams saying the county do. But county leaders decided to move forward with eliminate williams supplemental pay.
