Carolyn Scott, executive assistant to the vice president of academic services at Las Positas College in Livermore, was recognized with a Classified Employee of the Year Award for her work toward attaining equity for minority students.
Las Positas College in Livermore plans to reopen the campus for the fall 2021 semester with in-person, online and hybrid schedules to offer more flexibility for students.

We mourn with pain and remorse when citizens die but, still, we hold the dream rooted in the American past where obstacles were overcome by joining together to create just solutions.
We have a dream that one day in the red and blue towns and states of Santa Fe, Tx., and Newtown, Ct., the sons and daughters of gun owners and parents of gun victims will sit together at the table of brotherhood and develop laws providing both safety and safeguards.
