WORTHINGTON Minnesota West Community and Technical College continues to examine and expand programs and course offerings for the benefit of Worthington and the southwest region of Minnesota. There are areas where the college is looking to expand and grow that match workforce demand and opportunities, and one of those programs is the law enforcement program.
Under the direction of program coordinator Mike Cumiskey and instructor Ron Schwint, the program has seen significant growth in the last couple of years, with enrollment increasing to more than 30 students per year. The program has expanded to offering three academic options of Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Associate of Science (AS) and Associate of Arts (AA) degrees, and the program has conducted summer skills training the past three year
