Spanish drinks group Beveland Distillers has added a rum finished in ex-vermouth casks to its Ron Relicario range.
Beveland Distillers has unveiled Ron Relicario Vermouth Finish
Ron Relicario Vermouth Finish has been made using Relicario Superior rum, which is aged for between five and 10 years in the Dominican Republic. The rum then underwent a second period of maturation in Mancino Vermouth Vecchio casks for six months.
Mancino Vermouth Vecchio is made using a blend of 38 botanicals, as well as a fortified Trebbiano wine. During its production, the vermouth is aged in oak barrels for 12 months.

Spain’s Beveland Distillers has unveiled Cuban rum brand Doble 9, comprising four expressions – including a 15-year-old bottling.
Beveland Distillers added Doble 9 Cuban rum to its range
Doble 9 is a new Cuban rum brand named in honour of Cuban dominoes, in which the highest chip number is nine.
The range has debuted with four expressions, including Blanco, Añejo, Gran Reserva and a super-premium rum aged for 15 years. Each expression is bottled at 38% ABV.
Doble 9 Blanco is priced between RRP €10 (US$12) and €12 (US$14). The rum is said to have a slight sweetness with a ‘light bitter hint and soft hot feeling in the throat’.
