The video of a Police Officer so nonchalantly kneeling on georges neck as he begged to be released, and three other officers standing by as if nothing was happening, as if it werent a human beings life being taken has shocked us. By now we all know how george floyd called out, calling out for his mother who had passed years ago, a mother who loved him, whom he must have seen coming to him in his final moments. I cant breathe, he said, the last words of a man on a street in minneapolis that has rocked the nation. Three simple words, mr. President , that mean so much, have so much resonance
Protected civil rights writ large. So this is going to require a longterm bipartisan commitment. But not just from us in washington but folks in the state capitals, city halls, and Police Departments across the country. Because ultimately its the local officials that have the responsibility to hire and fire the police chief, to make sure that bad Police Officers are removed from the force. And thats where the nearterm responsibility needs to lie, because we dont have that capability here. But we do believe, i do believe there are concrete steps we can take right now to address the racial injustices that were exposed once again with the death of mr. Floyd. I think that both republican and democrat are getting close to a bill to doing something with background checks. Kennedy g. O. P. Dog. Big money can change minds. Even the logs are looking at the briefcase going hey. Most of us really like to get special deliveries on our birthdays. This woman got just that. It was delivered by some firefighters. They say it didnt take very long. About three minutes and baby was out saying happy birthday, mama. That kid just ruined her birthday for life. Made her birthday for life. Youre never doing to have your own birthday. Its all about the kid now. Shes happy to share her birthday with her number 6 1 2 pound baby. Thats a present. Here is how it went down. We know how babies are made. Her water broke. She called military police who then called firefighters. They made it there first. Just in the nick of time it seems. The firefighters were able to meet mommy and baby. This is a sweet moment here holding the little ones, always happy to assist, especially the process of bringing life into the world. How cool is that. What they were able to do in that moment was out of this worl
