CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga - Law enforcers have arrested three drug peddlers tagged as high-value individuals and seized some PHP374,000 worth of shabu in an operation in Angeles City on Tuesday. In a report released Wednesday, Col. Rommel Batangan, Angeles City police director, identified the suspects as Nivard Sigua, 44; Jasper Sigua, 23; and Abdul Karim Grande, 27. Batangan said the buy-bust operation was conducted by the joint elements of the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and the Angeles City Police Office Police Station 5 along Mabini Street, Sapang Bato, Angeles City. The suspects yielded four pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 55 grams, a white Honda PCX car, and buy-bust money. CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga - A suspected drug peddler was arrested and some PHP6.8 million worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation Angeles City on Monday. In a police report on Tuesday, Col. Rommel Batangan, director of the Angeles City Police Office, said a joint team from Angeles City Police Station 2, City Intelligence Unit and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group City Field Unit-Angeles conducted the operation along Henson St. in front of the Philippine Rabbit Bus Station in Barangay Lourdes Northwest. + April 04, 2021 ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Pogi Lazatin Jr. has ordered the relief of all personnel from the City Police Office Station 5 in Angeles City, Pampanga in relation to a prank video posted on social media.
Shown in the video were alleged uniformed police officers of Station 5 arresting an individual using an official vehicle from the Philippine National Police (PNP). The uniformed personnel participating were also heard identifying themselves as being from Police Station 5.
They later revealed in the video that the arrest was a prank in observance of April Fool s Day.
The video gained over 1 million views; 17,000 reactions; and 6,100 comments, as of press time.
