+ January 24, 2021 FORMER Masantol town vice mayor Jorge Jay Bustos III and his alleged friend were found dead in a security agency office in Angeles City over the weekend.
The bodies of Bustos and his friend identified as Eric Villanueva Cariaga were found around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021, inside Blue Gems Security Office, which is reportedly owned by Bustos wife.
Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon, Central Luzon police director, said both victims sustained one gunshot in the head. Based on initial investigation, there was no intruder that came inside the office prior to the shooting incident, but we will still review the CCTV (closed-circuit television) footage on that day, he said.

+ January 15, 2021 COMBINED police operatives dismantled a clandestine illegal drug laboratory in West Kalayan, Subic Bay and arrested an alleged maintainer and four suspected “protector” police officers during a sting at about 12:30 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2021.
Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon, Police Regional Office (PRO) Central Luzon director, identified the arrested as “maintainer” Jerico Dabu, Police Lieutenant Reynato Basa, Jr., Corporal Gino Dela Cruz, Corporal Edesyr Victor Alipio and Corporal Godfrey Duclayan Parentela, all assigned at the Subic Drug Enforcement Unit of Police Station 2, Olongapo City.

The arrested persons were identified as Aka Ron alias Bognot and alias Gerald, all residents of Barangay Tabun, Angeles City; Jeffrey Roxas, 23; Junior Nayne, 22 and Nadil Akmad, 24, residents of Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales.
Colonel Rommel Batangan, Angeles City police director, said the City Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon conducted the buy-bust operation against Ron, Bognot and Gerald in Barangay Tabun.
