Amazon is doubling its delivery stations in the San Antonio area FacebookTwitterEmail Amazon is doubling the number of delivery stations it operates in the greater San Antonio area. Packages are sent from the e-commerce giant’s fulfillment and sorting centers to delivery facilities, where the parcels are sorted by zip code and loaded on vans for transportation to customers’ doorsteps. Amazon has delivery stations at 1120 N. Foster Road on the East Side and 6422 E. Campus Drive near Rolling Oaks Mall, and is constructing another at 8210 Aviation Landing at Brooks on the South Side. The company plans to open three more later this year or next year: a 200,000-square-foot station near I-35 and Fischer Road in southwest Bexar County, a 180,000-square-foot station at I-35 and Tech Com Drive in northeast Bexar County and a 300,000-square-foot station at 1150 Schwab Road in Schertz.
