NORRISTOWN â A Norristown man is on his way to state prison after he admitted to fatally stabbing his brother-in-law and wounding another man during an altercation after attending a family birthday party.
Juan Tox Caal, 20, of the 200 block of Forrest Avenue, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 15 to 30 years in a state correctional facility after he pleaded guilty to charges of third-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with the Sept. 22, 2019, fatal stabbing of Rolando Popsacul, 22, also of Norristown, and the wounding of a second man. Caal, who was born in Guatemala, was 19 at the time of the incident.
