CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 19-year-old is dead after the car she was driving crashed into the rear end of a flat-bed tow truck in Mifflin Township shortly before 9 a.m. Monday.
Tori A. Carman, of Bucyrus, was driving a silver 2008 Toyota Corolla on US-30 near I-71 when she failed to maintain assured clear distance from the vehicle in front of her and struck a red 2000 Freightliner flat-bed tow truck, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol media release.

MANSFIELD - A 19-year-old Bucyrus woman killed in a crash Monday in Mansfield was a 2020 graduate of Wynford High School who also attended Pioneer Career and Technology Center.
Julie Miller, the Wynford High School principal, said Tori A. Carman attended Wynford Local Schools from early elementary on, then studied web page design at Pioneer. She was a beautiful soul taken way too soon and will be greatly missed by all, Miller said. The entire Wynford staff send our condolences and prayers to Tori’s family and friends.
Carman was killed when the silver 2008 Toyota Corolla four-door she was driving rear-ended a red 2000 Freightliner flat-bed tow truck, according to a news release from the Mansfield post of the Ohio Highway Patrol. The crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. Monday on the entrance ramp from U.S. 30 eastbound to Interstate 71 northbound, east of Mansfield.

Richland County, Mansfield – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle fatal crash on US 30 at mile post 17 near IR 71 in Mifflin Township, Richland County.
The crash occurred at 8:57am when a silver 2008 Toyota Corolla 4-door, driven by Tori A. Carman age 19 of Bucyrus, Ohio, failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead and rear-ended a red 2000 Freightliner flat-bed tow truck, driven by Roger W. Poast age 54 of Mount Gilead, Ohio on US-30 near the northbound entrance ramp to IR 71.Carman succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash at the scene. Poast suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
