Further details announced for return of Cereals event >More in © Tim Scrivener Organisers have revealed further details of next month’s Cereals event, which is set to become one of the first major face-to-face farming events following the relaxation of lockdown restrictions. This year’s event will be held in Lincolnshire on 30 June to 1 July and will comply with all required biosecurity measures against Covid-19. Event director Alli McEntyre said the physical event will go ahead as planned. “No online webinars, just real people meeting in the fields of Boothby Graffoe,” she added. Live demos There will be more than 360 exhibitors to visit across 45ha stands and live demonstrations, including areas dedicated to agronomy, technology, machinery, business, education, environment, and renewable energy.

Digital seminars pushing legume supported feed and food production in Europe A series of online events, hosted by a raft of European experts, will run in April and May to mark the end of two collaborative EU Horizon-2020 funded projects – Leg Value and TRUE - that aimed to empower legume-supported food and feed production across Europe. Roger Vickers, LegValue and TRUE partner, said: “ Pulses have an incredibly bright future, both for farmers who want to grow a sustainable, diverse rotation, and for consumers seeking a versatile, protein-rich food.”​ He said the field of legume research, innovation and trade is small compared to many other crop types and reflects relatively low current commercial values and investments surrounding legume crops.
