The 29th Jeffco Fire Engine Rally, held Sept. 30, went off well, drawing hundreds to Herculaneum City Park, said Bill Haggard, president of the Jefferson County Firefighters Association and chairman of the rally organization committee.
The city of Arnold reduced its property tax levy from 36.3 cents per $100 assessed valuation to 18.15 cents per $100 assessed valuation as promised when voters approved a 1-cent sales tax increase to fund the police department.

The city of Arnold will have a revenue surplus in its 2023-2024 for budget, which is the first time the city will collect more money than it spends in at least 10 years.
