The top doctor for the Woodstock and St. Thomas areas is pleading with people to limit contact after the region reported a record-high 47 new cases.
Joyce Lock, the medical officer of health for the Southwestern region, urged people to act as if the looming provincial lockdown – slated to begin at 12:01 a.m. on Boxing Day – is already in effect.

“I urge everyone to limit their contact with others effectively immediately. We have cases in every community and in people of every age,” she said.
