Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash on Military Trail near West Palm Beach

and last updated 2021-01-01 19:26:06-05 PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office is looking for a driver responsible for a deadly hit-and-run crash New Year s Day. The incident occurred just before 5 a.m. Friday at 2092 South Military Trail near West Palm Beach. PBSO spokeswoman Teri Barbera said the pedestrian, identified as Robin Antonio Hurtado Gonzales, 28, of Port St. Lucie, was walking northbound on the sidewalk when he entered traffic for unknown reasons and attempted to cross the street. Gonzales was struck in the northbound travel lane by a vehicle and removed from the road by a friend before emergency personnel arrived.

Breaking News Staff, Palm Beach Post PALM SPRINGS – A 28-year-old Port St. Lucie man died early New Year’s Day in a hit-and-run crash near Palm Springs, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.  Paramedics pronounced Robin Antonio Hurtado Gonzales dead at the scene, Military Trail’s northbound lanes near Purdy Lane, just east of the village limits. Evidence found at the scene suggests the vehicle that struck him may be a late model Ford F-150, possibly from the years 2016 to 2018, PBSO said.
