Witnesses say an elderly man was driving about 55 Miles Per Hour when he slammed into a pedestrian knocking his headphones and shoes off his body. She says she was stunned when the car came within inches of her baby. The victim is a man in his 20s. He suffered a broken femur but is expected to survive. The driver told police that his brakes were not working but obviously this crash is under investigation. We just noticed the dad arrive home. This family extremely relieved their daughter is okay. They practice argument sessions for virtually all the cases every term and after the last argument they have a gathering to say thank you to the volunteers who serve as the mock justices for these practice sessions and when you are at the event Justice Ginsburg appeared and was honored and Justice Scalia made this very warm introduction to her. We talk to the shopkeeper who captured this incredible surveillance video. At first the scene looks like normal traffic. Red jeep loredo comes to a stop at a red light along the 300 block of north 23rd street wednesday. Green forward for taurus pulls up behind it but within seconds, gunshots shatter the afternoon calm. Watch as the passenger of the ford jumps out and police say fires at least three times at the jeep with a 40 caliber semiautomatic handgun outfitted with an extended magazine. Its something well continue to follow. Route 22 at airport road is free of accidents. Some longterm construction. And speaking of construction, we still have some on the new jersey turnpike. Its out there right now southbound between pennsylvania turnpike exit 6 and Burlington Mount Holly exit 5. The left lane is blocked and expected to be blocked until 7 00 this morning. Keep that in mind. Average speeds on the new jersey turnpike in the 50s and 60s right now. As far as other majors in new jersey, 42 freeway is looking good. 55 is quiet. No accidents on the majors in delaware and taking mass transit, everything is on or close to schedule. T
Fraternity brothers hosted a party for a friend when two men stormed into their frat house with guns. Everyone was nerveracked. It happened early this morning at an off campus home here along south 42nd street, the residents of the house are members of the fraternity, and students at the university of sciences in philadelphia. I heard a knock on the door, i got gripped and was held against my will. The two armed suspects forced their way into the home and ordered everyone to the ground. I was shaking, my body was shaking, i couldnt catch my breath that time. The guy was kicking me in the gut. One suspect kept watch over the victims down stairs, the other man dragged this student upstairs and demanded he give them the money in the safe. I went up into the president s room, he took the fraternity dues that we just started collecting. We called officials with the university of the sciences and they told us they are working with the university of pennsylvania to make sure students are safe
